Access is a pretty low quality database, so let's just lay that out to
start. :) Second, there are several very high quality RDBMS's for Linux,
including mSQL, mySQL, and Oracle. MS SQL server 7 is about halfway
decent, but from what I've heard, relatively very slow. Combine that with
the instability of NT and IIS, and you've got yourself quite a mess. :)

If you want practice running a real webserver, Linux/Apache is an
excellent place to start. The setup/configuration isn't as "easy" as IIS,
but it may give you some actual idea of what you're doing, as opposed to
just "turning it on."
