no 3c50hwatever just etherlink xl tpo
read in a doc somewhere that those are compatible with 3c503, so i'll install
the distro kernel (2.2.13) instead of the one i have, the 2.2.10. shouldnt be
too hard to get it going then, i hope.

from the control panel within windows. i just checked again, it is indeed that
range. same for the other nic.
it's very odd, but the 3com card detector detects it too, so i guess that's
normal. however, avery example in a linux howto mentions a 0xXXX type of io
port. but i dont think that would be the problem. or maybe it would....
