It oughta be easier to do that in Linux than in Windows, actually. Just
make sure you've got parallel support in your kernel or a module. Unless
you're running your own kernel, you've probably already got one of the
two.

This part's a bit tricker. You'll need support for parallel-ide in your
kernel (or a module for it). You should read the ZIP-howto for this one.
