The problem is, I am running Linux and Win98 on that same computer. I can
partition my drive on-the-fly using Partition Magic but I am terrified of
 doing something wrong. Any help?

I'm interested in your progress with this as I also just got NT workstation 4
(and win3.11)...and my 2 attempts so far have only screwed up the drive
letters:(
Drive Mapper didnt see the fat (win3.11) partition and when I used Drive
Mapper all it did was create a few hundred erroneous registry entries that I
fixed with Norton System Works 1.0.

That lead to another problem: I thought I was getting Norton Utilties 4
bundled with System Works- well its not, its NU3- it is however a newer issue
(dated mid 1998) than the NU3 stand alone I have (cant really complain as
both cd's where dirt cheap buying them oem with no manual) This version of
Norton overwrote 3 system files that I had to replace with File System
Checker (glad I was using 98- if it'd been 95 I would have to learn how to
extract files manually with the extract.exe off of the boot disk, or where
ever its stored)

Johns says to use Lilo to partition and install rather than PM or Boot
Manager.
I will try that on a freshly wiped 4.3g hdd that I loaned out and just got
back
PM doesnt work on NT server- only Workstation, you gotta get a different PM
for NT server.
