Yeah, I'd go with putting himem.sys on a boot disk, putting
"Device=a:\himem.sys" on a boot disk, and booting with it. That usually takes
care of the problem.

Smart Drive, if memory serves me, is just a hard drive caching utility, to
improve disk performance, so it wouldn't help with memory problems.
