I want to notify the ISP that someone is using them to do nasty stuff...or
try to at least.

I use OE5 and filter them out. That will delete them right from the server,
so they never even get as far as your mailbox. Anything with "XX" or
"credit" or "make money fast" or any number of unsavory words/phrases in the
subject get automatically deleted and I never see them. Also, any DOMAIN
that sends me spam or nasties gets deleted from the server, they are usually
local or small domains anyway.
With email it is a little easier to find them. For one thing your email
client should be able to show you all the details of where it came from, and
you can usually find the ISP in there. If not, talk to your own ISP. Mine
will let me forward stuff and THEY will see where it came from. (That's why
I love these local ISP's...personal service :).)
I'm about to let my 8-year-old daughter start going online with her
computer. I'm going to install all of the filtering software, AND add my
own filters to her email account, BESIDES only allowing her online
supervised. Too much of that crap (John - can I say "crap" on this list?)
out there.
