you could try and locate the cab files on the emachine cd and copy them to
the hard drive of the new machine. This would require you putting the new
machine's hdd in as a slave or on the secondary ide channel.
there are 95b boot disks available from bootdisk.com to get 95b installed on
the second machine. Direct x stuff is often found on video card installation
cd's.
This info would help get 95b installed but as to the dvd rom...I just got one
and it seems you either have to get a hi end vid card to support the dvd...or
get a dvd decoder card. I only use mine for a cd rom right now.
I did get a 32m riva tnt card but the learning curve is a little steep.
so I bagged it for now.
