[COMP] Re: Admin: COMP will be moving soon

#From what I read on freelists, it has to be computer related (am I right
John?). I was going to host one of my joke mailing lists there but it looks
like I can't :(.

Other than that, first impressions look like nature of the list (commercial,
etc) does not matter as long as it is computer related.

on egroups one can start a list, it can be a commercial list.
A safelist for advertisers to post to.
Can this be done on http://freelists.dhs.org ?

Or is commercial stuff not appropriate?

| lists offered there will be commercial-grade, advertisement-free, *free*
| mailing lists, plus webpages, and searchable, web-based archives.  To make
| things easier, I'd like to have all Avenir Web mailing lists on the same
| server/hostname (linux-discussion has already moved, the LANdb mailing
| lists will be moving over as well).  FreeLists will have more services and
| they'll all be more easily available than the things I've got setup at
| Avenir Web right now.  It'll also probably get its own dedicated server
| eventually (Av web and FreeLists are currently on the same physical
| machine).

| I realize this may be an inconvenience for some, so I'd like to apologize
| up front for any headaches.  Again, I'll try to make things go as smoothly
| as possible.  I'll keep you posted on when the change will actually
