Phil,
Download a copy of cwordpad at this site:
http://www.cetussoft.com/freeware.htm (for Win9X)
It has an integrated spelling checker & thesaurus and
in the help menu you will find instructions as to how
to set changes that enable docs. to open with the font
of your preferred choice.

I have been able to change the Font Style but not the
font size. The default settings in WordPad I want are
Times New Roman (Western) 12-point, but everytime I
open up WordPad, it automatically resets to Times New
Roman (Western) 10-point. Any help is appreciated.
