i must say i quite agree with you on the fact that telnet is quite difficult to
use. once you learn how to navigate it though, you can find all sorts of info.

Using the Telnet was quite the educational experience. Though it was hard
and complicated to use I found that after I started to learn how to navigate
through its multiple pages of information, that it was quite useful. Though
to be honest I must say I do hate it. The site I used to learn about Telnet
was: http://www.elated.com/tutorials/management/unix/basic/. I practiced
Telnet at: telnet://134.4.10.106. The one thing that I used and learned
about was the "more" command. Which is a quick and useful way to view the
information of a certain file on the server you are currently working at. To
use this command you simply type "more" followed by the name of the file you
are working with, then press Enter.
