The root of telnet means to establish a connection across a network from one system to another using the telnet protocol. Telnet allows for remote access of a computer and to provide the ability to instruct that computer to create, edit, execute, and delete files just as if the user were sitting at that computer. I learned about this at http://oregonstate.edu/cws/tutorials/command-shell/#whatistelnet. I practiced telnet at telnet://134.4.10.106 some things I learned was you can't backspace and you can only use keystrokes. It was very strange but I'm not that familar with it. ~ Kristine Kosloski
