After trying to figure out what telnet was and going to various search engines I still don't know what telnet exactly is and how it works. I usually don't use other computers for my work unless its my own personal computer. So from my understanding i wouldn't really need to use it. but this is a subject i will be looking a whole lot more into for the time being.
