Telnet
I learned that the purpose of the telnet is to provide a remote login to a
computer via the Internet for communication needs. Also, to communicate while
using the telnet you have to use control comands in the form of letters,
numbers, or both. I found information on the telnet @
http://www.scit.wlv.ac.uk/~jphb/comms/telnet.html.
I practiced the telnet @ telnet://140.147.254.3.
At this site I searched through the Library of Congress information. I noticed
that any comand that I typed in did not show up on my screen. So I didn't know
if I was going to go where I wanted untill I executed the comand. That site
also used the enter key alone as a comand, but it never worked for me. All and
all the telnet is a real blast form the past.
