I practiced Telnet at LOCIS (telnet://140.147.254.3). I entered the server (auto-login, as mentioned by the teacher), then logged off through the numbered option. I learned the telnet:// protocol is supported by Firefox via a third-party program (my computer's default, Microsoft Telnet). I used to use Telnet regularly (MUDding, managing an old website, etc.), so actually using it was old-hat to me.
