Hey Everybody.
Hope everyone is having as much fun as I have this week with the
telnet. Anything new to me I have to check it out for hours. Anyway this
is what I found on telnet.
Telnet is a protocol that allows you to connect to a remote
computer hosted by a TCP/IP network. Software called a telnet client on
your computer connects to a telnet server. Once a connection is
established your computer becomes a virtual terminal which allows you to
communicate with the host from your computer.
There are a lot of web sites that give telnet information, and how to
use. Most places give you the commands to use while on telnet?s server.
Here is one site that has some telnet help.

Some cool games I found were at Telnet moongate.net

I really got wrapped up into playing this game. I spent almost 4 hrs
playing the game. The sign on process was setting the game up, it took
about ½ hr to do. I had to be assigned a game Name, along with a
password, the register my Personal information?Name..email
address..ect.ect..then I got to the game screen with was the setup
process. All in all, it was a fun game. This might show my age now, but
I remember when I was a kid and we bought floopys disks from the store
to play games on the computer. The games were all DOS based, as was
everything else. If you wanted to go someplace or get information, you
had to boot with the disk. It was a blessing when windows came around,
made things very easy after that.
