The Jdbgmgr.exe hoax was one that we ran into a couple of years ago where I
work. The hoax warns about a virus that can't be detected by anti-virus
software and that you should search your hard drive for a file named
Jdbgmgr.exe that has a teddy bear icon. The hoax warns that the file is a virus
and should be deleted. The file is actually the Microsoft Debugger Registrar
for Java. While deleting it won't cause any problems unless you are a Java
developer the hoax caused unnecessary worrying since the file the hoax says is
a virus will appear on Windows PCs.
You can read more about this hoax at http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_99436.htm.
