http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBScareChains.shtml#halloweenmall http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBScareChains.shtml#arabcandy I was interested that there were more than one scare hoax that involved Halloween. It is understandable, people dressing in costumes and doing door to door for candy could give people a lot to be afraid of. But email doesn't seem to be the most reliable source for information or warnings. These two hoaxes definitely show that. The first one reports that the infamous friend of a friend was dating a guy. In my opinion that should be when you should know it is a hoax. That is, if you didn't stop reading when the sender claims that she doesn't send out hoaxes. The second one actually asks you to send it out to 15 more people. After all the chain letters out there, I wonder why people still do it. Half of the email I get is spam, and the last thing I want is to get a chain mail or hoax forwarded on from someone that I do actually open emails from. Well, thanks for reading what I think about Halloween hoax emails. Stephanie Funk _________________________________________________________________ On the road to retirement?
