Internet Fraud

 

This article explains internet fraud from definition, to different types and 
measures to reduce chances of becoming a victim. I have seen some methods of 
internet fraud used that could have potentially caused damage. An E-mail was 
sent pretending to be E-bay asking for account information for verification 
purposes. Everything looked legitimate, but I knew it was a fraud. It is very 
easy to mislead others online and use people?s identity. It?s important that we 
all educate ourselves on internet fraud and how to reduce our chances of 
becoming a victim. I believe with the advances of internet security, internet 
fraud has been reduced, but is still continuing with false websites, e-mails
