Hello John,
This is very true concerning cookies. Alot of people just don't understand
that they can turn it on and off. It is useful for websites that I visit often
and it does personalize the way I surf the internet.

The subject I chose to write about is internet cookies. A cookie is something
that is placed in your computers memory from a particular web site. Next time
you visit that web site, they access that cookie and it gives them the
information they stored from the last time you were there. Whether it be
something you bought, looked at, or just when you logged in, they make web
surfing much more personalized. Some people don't like them, citing that they
don't want information about them being kept without them knowing, but there is
an option to turn it off. In my opinion, ignorance is no excuse and people
should know to take preventative measures before entering information on the
internet.
