A hoax was mentioned by another classmate about a scam with the recent tsunami and my hoax is simular but much older. I actually had this email sent to me and sent it to the federal goverment who is try to crack down on the issue. _http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBScams.shtml_ (http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBScams.shtml) A letter was sent to me telling me that someone with MY name in a foreign country had just died with his wife and kids in a car wreck. This person was there representative and needed me to 'pose' as that person to unlock this persons' assets..... and on it went. Very creepy and the Governement told me this scam has worked well for them and they have suckered people giving them all kinds of money for paperwork and legal redtape. The people being scammed 'know' they are wrong and when they end up (kidnaped in some circumstances) ripped off, they are afraid to tell the governement.
