Nope, Rene....if it depends on something, it's "dependent"

However, if you can rely on it, it's "dependable"...so the word dependable
WAS correct in this case

(coming from someone who was an English grammar teacher for many
years...MANY years ago LOL)

I have no idea if English is your first, second, third, fifth or whatever 
language ... but think it's supposed be "a car you can depend on" ... 
English is my 2nd language btw :p ...
