I am aware that ... my sister-in-law is Chinese, and often have problems
with both English and Danish ...

I've got a sweet Taiwanese friend that's struggling with English ... 

I think basically learning programming before learning other languages has
taught me how to handle language syntax and structure easily ... computer
and spoken languages are very alike, in the sense that there's a proper
syntax to combining words and terms to create proper meaningful structure
... atleast to me, learning languages has always been easy ... but I also
put alot of effort into learning them properly. 

I'm not trying to belittle that learning languages for some are very
difficult and stressful, even if it's their first langauge. But for me,
anything involving anything resembling language has always been easy. It's
the only part of school that I've never had any problems with ... 

Not trying to show off ... just how it is for me. Instead I have loads of
problems with math and algebra ... combined with a leaky memory ... I guess
what they say, about only being able to be truly good at one thing, is true
... atleast it is for me ...
