Hi William,
I have a new Western Digital 200GB 7200RPM 2MB Buffer,
coming from TigerDirect and a Samsung TS-H552U Dual Layer DVD Burner.
That should help it.
I was hoping to use the 10gig for a Linux drive.

yes..that old drive and the board are not getting along. Ditch
the drive. I have run into this issue before at a client's law
office. Only replacing the HDD fixed it.

Hi Folks,
it's my to to ask for advice.
I picked up a pile of computer parts with an ECS K7SEM motherboard, AMD
Duron XP1200 and 384 meg pc 133 ram, on the weekend and managed to get them
working, by adding a formatted 10 gig Fujitsu Model # MPG3102AT hard=
drive.
