[chadfree] Re: Photo program question

Peggy ... the grey and white checkers actually means "nothing" ... 
understood literally that when you delete part of the image and the 
checkers show up, there really isn't anything there but nothingness ... 
it's a common indicator in the graphics programs to use the checkers to 
indicate "nothingness" or more accurately: transparency...

Other programs may actually delete the background as well, but default to 
painting it over with a different, solid, color ...

I'm used at Corel Photo-Paint and Adobe PhotoShop myself ... And Corel 
(atleast till ver. 7 - haven't tried with my new ver. 12) uses the color 
background, while PhotoShop uses the checkers (that's actually where PSP 
has copied that feature from) ...
