[chadfree] Re: Photo program question

I used to work in the PR department of a major company ... only 2 of the
employees there had any sort of training in doing graphics work or image
manipulation ... the 6 others had simply learned it by playing around ...

It taught me that it's not about your inherent skills, but about enough
determination to keep at it till you're able to get it to be how you want
it ... I know it works for me ...

One of my friends grow pretty plants for a living, but is awesome at
graphics (http://www.baldingape.net/lgraphics.htm) ... she told me she'd
only had 6 months graphics design in high school, the rest she learned by
playing with the programs ... and she does all her work in some cheapskate
program she got with her printer :)

Just keep at it :) ... Don't let the programs beat you ;) ... and you
really don't need the big and expensive programs if you can figure out how
to get the job done with what you have ... it's not about the tools, but
about knowing how to use the tools...

The only reason I've stuck to Corel Photo-Paint for so many years is
because I know it inside out ... I started with MicrografX' photo-program,
but found Corel's to be far better ... and I've come to love it over time,
despite the funny bugs it has ...
