Yes i got lucky with having recently set my restore point.

I'm going to try to remeber to do it every 4 hrs now.

the bug you got today what were the symptoms?

Anything like this?

I was composing an email at 7:30 tonight and used the internet to look up
the spelling of a word.

I went to edit my email and could not scroll down and delete the extra text.


I had over 50 windows in IE, 6 Mozilla, and 4 Windows media windows open.
They were opening faster than I could close them.

I am running XP Pro with the update today, Norton AV2004 last updated on Jan
11
Zone Alarm Pro.

I shutdown and let XP restart, it opened but so did all the browser windows
again.

Fortunately I had set a restore point at 3:30 in preparation to downloading
NAV updates.

I was able to use the System Restore to roll back my registry.

Be careful there is something new lurking out there.
