HP Pavillion w\virus

I contracted a Trojan.  It infected a .cpy file on my HP, I am running Win
ME.  So far I have not been able to delete or clean it.  I am using AVG-Free
From Grisoft. It cleaned everything except for a .cpy file and I cannot
delete it or clean it because ME has no DOS boot and my nephews ruined my A:
drive.  Is there anything I can do short of formating the hard drive?
