Dear Colleague,
Typically at the end of the meeting each spring we decide where the meeting
will be
held the following spring, usually by someone volunteering to host it. That was
not
done this year, so we need to decide by email where the meeting will be held
next
year. As one of the original co-organizers of the meeting I was asked to
organize
this effort. I'm beginning simply by asking if anyone would care to volunteer
to host
the meeting. Historically we have met only on a Saturday, all day. This year
was the
first time that any attempt to obtain outside funding. It seems reasonable to
me that
whoever organizes next year's should make the decision about how elaborate the
meeting will be.
So in summary with this message I am asking if anyone cares to volunteer to
host the
meeting next year. In the event of more than one positive response we can let
the
two or more who have volunteered discuss it together and inform the rest of us
of
their decision.
