[cad-linux] Re: words, words. Lots of words

Nice work. I found myself looking for a "Usage" section without knowing
what I might expect there. What you have there (gasp) is the seed of a
market requirements document -- careful where ye treads, lest you find
yourself among the enemy... ;)

Seriously though, a step (IMHO) may be to move on to looking at use
cases. That is, some documents that talk about people using it in real
applications and answer questions like:

        - where it will be used
        - where something else will be needed
        - what roles it will fill
        - what roles it will not fill
        - who will use it

Subject: [cad-linux] words, words. Lots of words

I've been scrawling out my thoughts about this=20
database/open-standard/format/cad-to-end-all-cads idea

Apologies for any unfinished thoughts and sentences, I've been working
on this=20
in the free time between tired and sleep.

I'll be happy to hear any corrections of my facts or grammar and even
happier=20
to receive some feedback or illustrations and charts.

What I'm trying to put together here is a sort of roadmap for how I
think the=20
open-data standard could best be solved.

I'm posting this at a somewhat early stage because I'm sure it will take
a=20
huge swing later on. As much discussion as it can stir-up now would be=20
great.
