normally if you have trouble, 
running an apt-get update, and then an apt-get upgrade with fix any 
dependency problems.

if you are running sid then normal disclaimers (about things breaking) apply.

i still have an older version 8.1-00(suse build) that i ran thru alien.  i 
have not had a chance to look at the new deb.

i do hope that it makes it into the non-free CD.
