[cad-linux] Re: test

I used to have a cad4Linux portal, which unfortunately got hacked and then i
lost my interest because i am not a regular cad drawer anymore, but i can
tell you what my findings where in that time:
   - Qcad, free opensource, VERY limited, 2D, slow development.
   - Bricscad 6 for wine/linux, best option for people that are used to
autocad, but not native, very buggy, very slow.
   - Bricscad 9 for linux, this is the dream of every cad drawing linux
user, but very slow development, nobody knows when it comes. It was anaunced
in 2006, but no beta is released yet.
   - Varicad for linux, this, i think, is the best cad program for linux, it
can do 2D and 3D, is stable, but very poor compatibility, so only useble
when you do not have to use drawings from other people.
   - Archimedes is a cad program developed by students, but has not released
   a version for production use.

Good luck!
