This is [sort of] good news to me as well but I can't
help but think it's too little, too late. Don't get
me wrong, I love Microstation -- and that's saying
something since I began w/ACAD in '90 but didn't
learn/use Microstation until '97. It's superior to
ACAD by leaps and bounds, especially since they cost
about the same.

Oh, well. Bentley could have latched on to Linux/BSD
much sooner -- have they yet? -- but I suppose they
were afraid of reprisals by M$. Still, when AutoDesk
sold their soul, the writing was more than on the wall
that 'others need not apply' for
preferential/deferential/sentient-being-worthy-of-not-being-abused
status. I hope they can reverse the trend still, but
I'm waiting for the day that Microstation announces
that they're going Open Source. Not holding my breath
on this one, though.

</end rant>

On another note, Revit rocks the house. Can't get
enough of this parametric stuff. Still pissed at them
for selling out but a great product nonetheless.
Would love to be able to do the same as 'OpenCAD,'
'ParaCAD,' 'CheapAssCAD' [CAssCAD], or something
similar but my programming skills, uh, don't exist.
