[cad-linux] cad-linux

Hi, I'm trying Cadopia's Intellicad v4 evaluation version with Windows
for now :(
and this is what I have yet noticed about the new features- Multiple
layouts and printing upside down. This is a copy of the mail I've sent to
Cadopia's support.

The multiple layouts announced don't work well because:

- When I draw something in paper space it appears in all the other
layouts, and there i can't even select them so I can erase it. I haven't
tried to print yet, but the print preview also shows those elements, so
I suppose they will be printed.

- There should also be possible to have a page setup command to each
layout so that we could define all printing parameters for each one
(including the "Print Setup" parameters that i have to redefine every
time I change from one layout to another. Those parameters should be
associated with each layout separately.

- The only advantage I can figure from this new feature is that now I
can open Autocad drawings with multiple layouts without loosing them.
(is this really an advantage if i have to redefine all the printing
settings?)

- There is also something else that doesn't work (at least at the print
preview as i haven't actually tried to print the drawings)and that is
the advanced print option to print upside down.
With AutoCad this option inverts the drawing to print. -My printer
doesn't print too close to the bottom of the page, and as i want that
bigger margin to be at the top of the page,i print the drawing upside
down. With Icad that doesn't happen.

By the way, are you now developing the so much expected Linux version?

Helena
