[cad-linux] Re: binary of lx viewer

Hello,

In my experience with X.P., I have found aspects of 'character' that have
been distinctly unfriendly to any application that isn't native Microsoft, or
one of the concerns associated with them that haven't gone to the trouble
(and expense?) of having their drivers 'signed' by Microsoft. I am not one of
those mentalities that ferociously adhere to one side of the closed/open
source debate, but this, as well as system instability, jointly are
responsible for my own migration to open source.
So far, a successful experiment.
I have actually had Microsoft updates remove access to peripherals that were
cooperating with Win 98 quite amicably. But I have a number of other
experiences that have convinced me that I need to have control over my own
system.

Regards,

David.
