i have not spent much time with povray in a few years.
when i first started learning about rending i began with it.
it was much easier if you were hand coding your scenes, but i was never
impressed with the pov support that most 3d modelers had. that is when i
started looking at the different renderman based options(BMRT/Gman).
i was looking thru the IRTC/Pov-Ray sites the other day and was very
impressed. Pov-ray and it's dirivitives like mega-pov have come a long way.
