Hi all,
Just wanted to post a note to say that several months ago I installed
Win4lin on my SUSE 9.2 system. This is not newsworthy in and of itself,
except that last week I tried to see how Intellicad 5 ran on it. I have
to say that so far everything functions exactly as it should; all lisp
routines, drawing, etc. On the Intellicad install I had an error
message about the Visual Basic module - but I think that was caused by
me not selecting VB when I installed Windows into Win4lin. It's not
free, but for 5 licenses for $80 it is not far off.
I know this is not a perfect solution, but in the US is is fairly easy
to find someone who no longer has a use for an old W98 CD (required for
win4lin). They ususally willing to part with them for free just to be
rid of them. I understand that there is a new version of win4lin out
there that does not require a custom kernel and also runs WinXP. For
now I am extremely happy with my old version.
