i have not heard anything on gcad in a long time.
there is a gcad3D, but it is more cnc i think.
qcad still seems to be very popular.
pythoncad seems to have the most active development.
lignumcad looks cool, but i have not played with it.
graphiteone is free for non commercial use list time i checked.
there are others, but those are just off the top of my head.
