[cad-linux] Pro/E and CATIA

With Linux Pro/E being shown demurely in the HP booth at LinuxWorld, and IBM
pushing for the Linux engineering desktop (presumably nudging CATIA to
release their internal Linux verison), it seems that high-end CAD is coming
to the Linux desktop in 2003. As someone who has never used Pro/E or CATIA,
I'm curious how these compare.
Anyone who can give an overview of Pro/E and CATIA? Why would someone choose
one over the other? Are there other packages I should also be aware of?
Is anyone here planning to get on the beta for these?
Thanks,
Robin
