hello,
i've been following your lx-viewer development and even installed
kdevelop to take a glimpse at your code. I was planning to contribute the
postscript output this weekend since after seeing the qt manuals i though
it could be somewhat straighforward but, since i had a project deadline ,
i just used varicad 7 (demo!) postscript output to make some printings (just
draft, the final printings will be made by an ACAD professional).
now , about hpgl, i use a simple utility (pstoedit) to
convert from Postscript (and even DXF, although it seems to have a
lot of bugs) so i think it would be better to output to a file and not
just directly to the serial port. Then, with a common terminal modem
program or even a small C utility (setserial & cat come to mind;) we could
send the file to the plotter.
