If you can manage to setup 3D hardware acceleration, you will notice a=20
enormous performance boost. On the other hand, if you have some wired gra=
phic=20
card/chip which is not properly detected by Linux, your x-server uses the=
=20
generic vesa driver. In this case, performance is really poor.
Performance will also depend on our cpu of course.
If you have grid snap enabled, which is the default case, performance mig=
ht=20
look slower as it really is, as the cursor stops at grid points during=20
movements.=20
Another thing is the proper display of geometry intersecting dimension te=
xt.=20
If you want to create professional technical drawing, it is absolutly=20
nessessary that geometry does not intersect dimension texts. GraphiteOne =
can=20
do this. (Try this with other Linux CAD systems...). As a drawback, this=20
heavily slows down performance. Have a look at the doc, chaper 6.2 for=20
details.
