[cad-linux] Re: Fwd: New VariCAD v.8.1 Just Released

I'm running a potato/sid.
i was getting a error for undefined symbol: __ti9QGLWidget
for a long time. i tried running some of the RH qt and kde stuff thru alien.
this seems to help a little but other applications have started acting
strange now. i don't recommend this approach.

any Qt guru's know how to fix this(QGLWidget)?

it's still not usable on debian. i can cd to /usr/bin/xvcad and run ldd
./varicad and it looks like everything is there, but it will not run the way
it does on MDK.

i can get V7 to work fine either by running thru alien or as i did at first
and copy the files (/usr/bin/xvcad & /usr/lib/xvcad) over from my old MDK
partition.

if i figure it out i'll post it.

BTW has any one tried this on woody?
