Another classic from the bad old days of GUI design.
But it is 3D.

In 2003, I was an alpha and beta tester of the Linux version. I quit after=
=20
they refused to consider adding inside window or outside window entity=20
selection, saying that intersecting window selection was all that was neede=
d.

Here is an excerpt from my final beta test report:

The truly antique interface design is an in-configurable hodgepodge of=20
confusing multiple menu systems, inconsistent, misleading, and even silly=20
terminology, and inconsistent functionality. It is the single most=20
incomprehensible and unusable CAD program I have ever seen. Free is the rig=
ht=20
price for that part of it. I wouldn't pay a nickel for it.=20

The overall impression is that the interface was designed for the convenien=
ce=20
of the program, with no attention toward ease of use or to the workflow of=
=20
the design process. It has somehow managed to completely ignore 25 years of=
=20
progress in interface design. It needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from=20
scratch to get it anywhere near the 21st century.
=2E..

Has it changed much since then?
