currently blenderCAD is not usable, as far as i tried it. it is in
development stage, and there is even no distinguish between 2d and 3d
yet.

the package itself is *very* promising, currently it supports only
drawing few types of objects (circle, polyline) and has pretty
impressive snaps (perpendicular, midpoint, and so forth). and thats
almost all ;-)))

hopefully it will evolve into powerful tool. currently blender lacks
(imho) only one object type that CAD rquires: the dimension lines.
almost everything else is right there. I assume that almost all work
needed for working CAD can be done in python[*], except for adding more
object types (though I haven't chceked that). So - fingers crossed ;-)))

[*] this means that developing blenderCAD plugin is *much* easier
than developing blender itself. No need to explain how good news this is ;)
