As I understand it Red Hat and Caldera were once the same, and are even now not that much different. Because of that I am hoping that you can run the extractor without the segmentation faults once you convert to Red Hat. I believe this is a memory problem, and there are only a couple of places where I allocate memory space in the program - so with any luck if I did it I can find it. If it is a problem in one of the static libraries from OD then we are going to have to live with it. I should be able to find a place on my source forge site to have this program as a down load. I'll keep you all posted. Glad the routine works for you. Let me know if going to Red Hat solves the problem. Andy
