[cad-linux] Re: 2d vs. 3d

I am also an architect, and I tried hard to find a good parametric 3D-2D
program to use under linux.

I didn't yet.

But as you are talking about revit, maybe you should try Bricscad's
Architecturals. It's not a linux version, but as bricscad developed a linux
(under wine) version of their intellicad, may be they could start working on
a linux version for this too.

It is not free, but I think it works fine. A few things should be improoved,
but it still has the advantage of the dwg format, so it is easy to
communicate with the many autocad users around the world.

You can download the demo (30 days) version at http://www.bricscad.com

You must choose the auto cad or the bricscad version to work with, i
recommend the bricscad, (you can buy it along with architecturals with no
aditional cost) and you can also download bricscad demo to try for 30 days.

of cou rse you must be running windows :( , that's the negative thing
aboutthis.
