Nice work JayP. Agreed. We should ask ourselves what are the things that really need to be done before launch. At least if we launch we can attract more developers. On the technical side this is: - Get the dropdown to work with Semantic Mediawiki. This entails: -> Getting the "controversy rating" to work as a semantic property. -> Getting "article quality" to work as a semantic property (and dropping FlaggedRevs, using the CAPTCHA for spam protection) -> Getting the table to search by whatever language the user selects. -> Get the "% translated" column from Extension:Translate to show up in the table That's what I'm working on at the moment. - Writing a guidelines page for translation and analysis. ( http://test.cablegatewiki.org/index.php?title=Guidelines_for_contributing&action=edit&redlink=1 ). - i18n (localisation): -> The biggest problem here is figuring out the best way to translate the little bits of text into other languages. For example, here http://test.cablegatewiki.org/index.php?title=07PARIS4650 there is the text "Create an Analysis of this cable in your Language!", what is the best way to let users translate that piece of text? -> There needs to be some way to let the user pick their language when they register on the site. Using the "languages" box on the page only sets the language for that page.
