I have not seen that exact issue. Have you tried reinstalling IYP?

Subject: [bvipilots] Problem with flight following announcements
Hey all,
I am Patrick and I am using IYP for quite a while now. I'm usually flying IFR
flights with direct GPS routing. In the voice commands lists, I read about
flight following. It says that I can always envoke my copilot to make a flight
following announcement by saying "make a flight following announcement". So
far, so good, but it doesn't work.
In fact, it only gives me the usual clicking sound, but nothing in addition. I
activated flight following, cargo flight following and general aviation flight
following, but mike remains silent, as far as flight following announcements
are concerned.
I always have a cruising altitude of something over 20000 feet with
cargo/passenger airlines such as the boeing, and the with general aviation
aircrafts mike should already start giving flight following announcements after
reaching 3000 feet.
Is there anything I did wrong? Is it possible that the required data for flight
following announcements for IYP is missing, does all that belong to the
database which might need an update?
I hope somebody can help me.
Best regards,
Patrick.
