[boot scriptor] List concerns

Hi everyone,

First, let me apologize for the spam that found its way onto the list
recently.  I don't publish the address for this list but somehow it got
harvested.  Now if anyone has trouble posting to the list, please email
me directly and I will troubleshoot.  I had to restrict posting to
subscribers-only, but this may cause trouble for some attempting to post
to the list.
