Ok the last message was detailed documentation...here's the quick-start
version...
Create a 640x480 true-color BMP image.
Convert it to Boot Scriptor Image (.BSI) format using convert.exe.
Use the image in Boot Scriptor using the command 'show image
<filename>'.
You could get by using just those three steps if necessary. I've
created a test iso:
http://tigger.uic.edu/~mterlo1/test.zip
Please download it and burn to a CD and run on actual hardware (the VESA
modes don't typically work in VMWare or VirtualPC). The script will
give you two options: test image display and check VESA type. Please
check the VESA type and let me know if it says 'VESA 24bpp', and whether
the image display works or not.
Also on the ISO is the 1.1 version of convert. It will now convert both
ways: bmp->bsi or bsi->bmp. Type 'convert' for syntax.
Thanks,
Mike
