Area birders,
Yesterday evening I heard my first wood thrush of the season. I also heard
a black throated green and a northern parula.
This morning I went turkey hunting. I didn't get one, but I heard a few.
The birds started early this morning. I heard some robins and song sparrows
start up at 6:00. I got to hear a lot of birds too. I had two blue gray
gnatcatchers within 10 feet of me. I noticed that one of them was trying to
sing like a wood thrush. Thats the first time ive ever heard one do that.
